The Rally Day Carnival is held on the first Sunday after
Labor Day each year. The KickOff of the Church's School Year is noted in
worship where the Sunday School and other educational staff are commissioned.
Worship is followed by Calvary's Carnival for the neighborhood. Games,
food, fellowship, and fun are the agenda items as young and old join in
the merry-making. Children say that they most enjoy whatever game it is
"that will get Pastor Morgan wet again this year."

Thanksgiving Eve - Community Interfaith Worship
Begun by Calvary, a sister Presbyterian congregation, and
the Reform Jewish congregation, the Community Interfaith Worship each year
on the Eve of Thanksgiving offers a unique opportunity for a broad spectrum
of religious traditions to come together in thanks to God for our many
blessings. In addition to the founding congregations, this service now
includes Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox parishes, the Conservative Jewish
congregation, representatives of the Bahai and Moslem communities, as well
as other Protestant Christian congregations. A different participating
congregation serves as host each year when we join with our neighbors in
celebration.
Christmas Eve at Calvary
At 7:30 on the eve of Christmas each year, the congregation
gathers in darkness to await the annunciation of the Savior's birth. Moving
from the darkness of shepherds' fields to the light of choirs of angels,
this traditional Candlelight service includes the proclamation of Messiah's
birth in word and music. The variety of expression has included brass and
precussion instrumentalists as well as ballet and orchestral renditions
of traditional Christmas favorites.
